Browning Ammunition has continued to trickle out its new releases this summer. The most recent addition to the club: BXD Waterfowl Extra Distance.

The new shells combine round steel pellets with a new wad design, resulting in what the company is hailing as a lethal combination of energy retention, penetration and pattern density.

“The BXD Waterfowl ammunition couples high velocity, round steel with pattern-tightening technology,” said Ben Frank, brand manager for Browning Ammunition. “This design gives you that extra distance and accuracy you need when those birds stay at the edge of your spread.”

12- and 20-gauge shells will be available. The 12-gauge offerings will be available in both 3- and 3½-inch variants. BXD Waterfowl Extra Distance is due on shelves buy the end of July 2016.
