For 2018, Barrett has announced its new match grade .416 Barrett ammo that is loaded with a 452-grain MTAC Cutting Edge bullet, which according to the company, has a much higher ballistic coefficient than its previous .416 bullet.

Made by RUAG, the match grade brass has concentric necks with uniform wall thickness to give more consistent neck tension. Alliant Reloader 50 powder—which is known for clean burning and is less sensitive to case capacitywas used for loading the new .416 Barrett, and its RWS primer aids in lowering velocity to 3,005 fps.

These improvements will allow the shooter to have sub-MOA performance capable of hitting targets well beyond 2,500 yards, making it ideal for long-range shooting.

The new .416 Barrett is available in a 10 round box and 80 round cases. New primed, unprimed and once fired brass are also available for purchase.
