An email I received this morning from The Tenderfoot included a video that she felt anyone following the "Wilder World Outdoors" would enjoy, and I agree wholeheartedly.

Currently make the rounds on the web is a YouTube video that was posted by Garrett Bros. Outfitting last month, featuring a young black bear that goes to great lengths for a meal. The camera operator, who's based out of Alberta, Canada, has what's left of a beaver strung up between two trees. The video's star ambles into frame, spots the potentially free meal, and decides to make a move for it.

What ensues is just over a minute of the young bear carefully working its way along the rope, and then desperately trying to rip the beaver meat down. After being repeatedly defeated, the bear drops to the ground, shoots one last look of longing at its would-be lunch and stomps off, much to the amusement of whomever was behind the camera. It's good stuff.
