A Mission, Tex., family got quite a shock last week when the family dog, a black Lab, returned from its morning jaunt carrying a human hand! After a 2 1/2-hour search, police found the body of a suspected illegal immigrant near a canal. Authorities believe the man, who'd been dead for about three weeks, crossed the Rio Grande less than a mile away. The case isbeing treated as a homicide.

I've never had a dog fetch anything quite so morbid, but I did own a yellow Lab with an amazing proclivity for finding and retrieving box turtles. Seemed he'd bring one to me once a month, always unharmed.

Has your dog ever brought home anything strange?
