Earlier this year, Bushnell launched its new Engage series of optics. I had the chance to put the new riflescope line to use on a Manitoba black bear hunt. Here are five things you need to know.

They’re part of a new look for Bushnell.
As you’ve probably seen, there’s an Engage binocular line, too. Together, they represent a new market of sorts for Bushnell.

Nine configurations will be available.
You’ll have no shortage of options in the Engage line, right out of the gate. Nine configurations will be available, from 2-7x36mm up to 6-24x50mm. Five models feature a 1-inch tube and low-profile, capped elevation and windage turrets. Four models will have 30mm tubes and new turrets, which I’ll cover next.

The line features Easy-to-Use Zero Reset Locking Turrets
What that means, mind you, is that after making adjustments required to zero your rifle for say, 100 yards, you can reset the turrets (without the use of tools) to read zero. Then, should you need to make adjustments afield when conditions change…you know you can always dial it back to simple zero and know that you’ll be on for 100 yards. No notes requires.

There’s a new reticle.
Engage riflescopes sport Bushnell’s new Deploy MOA reticle, which features 1-MOA windage and elevation hashmarks, and can reach short and mid-range targets.

They're easy on the wallet.
Bushnell isn't trying to bust your budget with the Engage line. MSRPs for the Engage riflescopes start as low as $149.99 and only reach as high as $449.99, based on the specifications you're looking for.
