New for 2024: Browning A5 Hunter 20-Gauge

Browning has introduced the long-awaited A5 Hunter 20-gauge. A beautiful wood-stocked classic, this 20-gauge autoloader is field-ready right out of the box. The gun's downsized frame keeps the gun sleek and light; at under six pounds, the gun is just as ready to run and gun for turkey or hike after chukar, as it is for the duck blind. This incredibly light weight also makes this A5 a breeze to shoulder when the time comes to swing on a bird.

Far from just a workhorse, however, the gun boasts a deep black receiver, a blued barrel, and a Grade 1 Turkish walnut stock with an extremely durable gloss finish with 18 lines per inch checking on the grip and fore-end. That blued barrel makes use of Total Barrel Dynamics, which combines a Vector Pro lengthened forcing cone, a back-bored barrel and an Invector-DS choke tube for optimized shot patterns. The action operates on Browning's Kinematic Drive system, which harnesses and converts recoil energy into the mechanical motion needed to work the action. This also makes for cleaner operation than a gas gun, since gases are sent out the barrel and away from the action. Despite this, the gun can run on a versatile variety of loads, with virtually all 20-gauge field loads requiring no adjustment.

An Inflex II recoil pad absorbs kick nicely during extended days in the field, while a fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead keep even tired eyes on target. Barrels are available in 26- or 28-inch lengths, with chrome-plated chambers, and come with Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder Chokes. Quarter- and half- inch stock spacers are also included, for the perfect fit no matter the shooter's stature.
