LEDE Bowtech Proven 34

Bowtech continues to be a leader in compound bow innovation. For 2025, Bowtech stretches the lengths between the axle pins and gives bowhunters the Proven 34. A 34-inch axle-to-axle compound with a 7-inch brace height, the Proven 34 has a fighting weight (no accessories attached) of 4.7 pounds.

There have been developing trends among top-tier compound bow makers over the past few years. Two of those trends are shooter customization and ease of tune. Bowtech is a leader in both categories, and the Proven 34 is another shining example of why. Fully customizable GripLock allows the shooter to fine-tune the grip angle with an Allen wrench, meaning each shooter can achieve the most torque-free grip possible. Few things rob accuracy like grip-induced torque.

The DeadLock Cam System is genuinely remarkable. Flip Disc Technology ensures shooter versatility by simply "flipping" a disc and swapping between Comfort and Performance shooting modes. After testing the Proven 34, I will always take the Comfort mode. While the Performance mode creates a slight speed boost, I love the bow's silky draw and smooth transition to let-off when set in the Comfort mode.

Also part of the DeadLock System is TimeLock. This innovative feature allows Proven 34 shooters to tune their bow without putting it in a bow press, twisting cables, etc. With TimeLock, all that's required is unlocking the TimeLock locking screw with an Allen wrench, and then you can use the laser-engraved marks, which represent cable twists, to make your timing adjustments. The tuning process is simple, straightforward, and effective.

The Rotating Module allows fast, efficient draw-length adjustments between 27.5- and 33-inches in half-inch increments.

Another must-mention feature is CenterMass Technology, which perfectly aligns the sight to boost full-draw stability and accuracy. The Proven 34 also showcases the Integrate Mounting System. A dovetail mounting system machined directly in the riser streamlines drop-away rest attachment and eliminates the chance of unwanted rest movement.

The Proven 34 is a balanced, fast, accurate bow. It feels rock-steady at full draw, allowing you to settle your pin, relax, and let your release fire the bow. The cams aren't twitching forward, trying to pull you into the shot and testing the bow to a maximum distance of 130 yards proved its spot-on accuracy. The Proven 34 is quiet post-shot, with little to no hand vibration. Whether you want a bow to roam the backcountry with or one to pull 20 feet up a tree while you wait on a gagger whitetail, the Proven 34 ($1,449.99) has a lot going for it. The bow is available in multiple solid and camo finishes in peak draw weights of 50, 60 and 70 pounds.

Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
