The National Rifle Association's 145th NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits will have its unofficial start at the 2016 National NRA Foundation Banquet and Auction at Louisville's Kentucky International Convention Center on Thursday, May 19. Sponsored by Kimber, Henry Repeating Arms and Universal Coin & Bullion, and co-sponsored by Century Arms, Frontier Tactical, and ZEISS, funds raised at the attendee-favorite event benefit The NRA Foundation, America's leading charitable organization in support of the shooting sports.

"This is a tremendous year for the foundation," said NRA Director of Volunteer Fundraising Sarah Engeset. "We couldn't be more excited with our sponsor line-up. It is because of their support and the tireless work of our volunteers that we are able to continue our mission of Teaching Freedom."

Banquet activities include games, and silent and live auctions for exotic hunts, exclusive firearms, outdoor gear, and other unique merchandise. This year's live auction showcase item, graciously donated by HPR Ammunition, a one-of-a-kind NRA/HPR Black Ops 4 x 4 Jeep Wrangler with customized detailing from the winch and front bumper to a specialized tailgate including Smittybilt XRC Armor Side panels and windows. The online auction takes place on GunBroker.com and runs from April 20-May 22.

Tickets are on sale now and this year, attendees can beat the lines by reserving raffle packs for the NRA Foundation Banquet. Tickets for both the banquet and raffle packs can be reserved here.

The 2016 NRA Annual Meetings are expected to bring more than 70,000 Second Amendment enthusiasts to Louisville May 19-22. This celebration of America's shooting traditions features more than 550 eye-catching displays from the country's top firearms, knife, wildlife art, shooting accessories, hunting gear, and ATV companies. Visitors may also attend the Annual Meeting of Members, hear rousing speeches on Second Amendment issues, and unwind to top country music entertainment at NRA Presents Toby Keith, among so many entertaining events.

Since its inception in 1992, The NRA Foundation has funded over 35,400 grants totaling in excess of $267 million, to qualified local, state and national shooting sports programs, hunting and conservation programs, Second Amendment education and for the preservation of historical firearms.
