Ruger SSSF Donation Lead

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. has donated $24,000 raised through recent auctions on GunBroker.com to the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF), an organization dedicated to educating youth about the shooting sports.

Since 2010, Ruger has worked with GunBroker.com to auction off rare, unusual, discontinued or one-of-a-kind Ruger firearms, and donates all proceeds to charities, with just under $900,000 raised and donated thus far.

“Supporting organizations like the SSSF is vital to our industry,” commented Ruger president and CEO Chris Killoy. “We are excited to continue our support of the SSSF in its mission to provide educational and developmental opportunities to young people interested in the shooting sports while giving loyal Ruger customers the chance to bid on one-of-a-kind Ruger firearms.”

Firearms sold to benefit the SSSF included a .308 Winchester Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle and an M77 Mark II International chambered in 6.5x55mm.

Hardware Review: Marlin Model 1895 Dark

If you think lever-action rifles should only have walnut stocks and a blued-metal finish, then the new Marlin Dark series with its polymer buttstock and aluminum AR-esque handguard probably won’t be your thing.
