Silencer Central has announced the release of the Banish Speed K, available to the professional market as well as civilian. Designed and optimized in partnership with Federal Ammunition, the Banish Speed K is a 5.56 suppressor promising both performance and versatility.

"With the release of the Banish Speed K, we are excited to bring professional-grade suppressor technology to the civilian market," said Brandon Maddox, CEO of Silencer Central. "This collaboration with Federal Ammunition has allowed us to create a suppressor that exceeds expectations in terms of performance, durability, and ease of use."

“Our goal at Federal is to continually improve the shooting experience,” says Federal’s CEO and president Jason Vanderbrink. “As an ammunition company driven by innovation, partnering with Silencer Central to engineer the BANISH Speed K continues our legacy of collaborating with industry partners to provide law enforcement and hunters and shooters the best products while on duty, at the bench, or in the field.”

The Banish Speed K features an industry-standard hub that allows for direct-thread or muzzle brake mounts along with any compatible QD mounting system. An internal design with unique baffles and a finned blast chamber supports higher efficiency and sound reduction, minimizing blowback up to six-percent of unsuppressed shooting. Meanwhile, Controlled Flow Technology mitigates back pressure. Straight venting allows for easier cleaning, and an astoundingly short, four-inch length offers additional maneuverability. Finally, Duty Temperature Control technology lowers internal to increase longevity.

The suppressor is constructed from Inconel 718, which balances durability with its light, 14.1-ounce weight. This material is part of the reason it managed to pass seven full rounds of SOCOM testing. Decibel reduction at the muzzle is 142.3 dB, while at the ear it is closer to 138.5 dB. Member's Hunt: The Spot

Back in 1963, my dad asked if I wanted to go deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (what we locals call the U.P.). We had no tent, no camper and no cabin, although we did have a horse truck, and we converted it into a deer camp. Read on for this week's Member's Hunt, from Jim Mikkelsen.
