Ruger may have the softest-shooting 10mm handgun on the market now that the company has introduced its Super Redhawk chambered for the cartridge. Considering the six-shot revolver has a 6.5-inch barrel and an integral scope base, it may also be one of the best 10mm handguns for hunting. The stainless steel Super Redhawk weighs 54 ounces and has a cushioned rubber grip, so recoil should be but an afterthought. It comes with three moon clips to facilitate loading and ejecting rimless 10mm Auto cartridges. We had a chance to shoot the new revolver at SHOT Show; learn more about it in this video. MSRP: $1,159; ruger.com.

Member's Hunt: The Spot

Back in 1963, my dad asked if I wanted to go deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (what we locals call the U.P.). We had no tent, no camper and no cabin, although we did have a horse truck, and we converted it into a deer camp. Read on for this week's Member's Hunt, from Jim Mikkelsen.
